About Microbe Browser

The SIB Microbe Browser is a microbial comparative genomics browser.
  • The gene report pages (e.g. E. coli pgl gene) integrate data on gene sequence and annotation, orthologs, and cross-references to the major biological databases.
  • The chromosome view pages (e.g. M. leprae) display the annotation from GenomeReviews and EMBL and the gene predictions of Glimmer.
  • The chromosome comparison pages displays orthology and synteny relationships between genes in various organisms (e.g. trp operon in all Yersinia pestis showing trpD and trpG genes in strain KIM, missing in the original genome annotation)
